My mother is a devoted member of a “version” of the Catholic Church. I mean no disrespect in the word “version”, I just don’t honestly remember.

My mother is an amazing person. A religious woman, who believes in her whole heart the best values and tenets of serving others, and helping.

That being said, the Catholic church needs a complete and total fucking overhaul.

The Pope has been implicated DIRECTLY in a case when he was a Cardinal, where he knew of a predatory priest, and instead of throwing him the fuck out of the church, he reassigned him, where the animal went on to abuse more boys.

For me there is no higher sin.

When you molest a child, you damage them forever. the way they look at intimacy, who they trust, what they can expect from people, how they actually function.

And we have HUNDREDS examples now of the Catholic church turning a blind eye to these men and just “re-assigning” them, and keeping it hush hush. Where nothing gets fixed, and he continues his sickness and killing souls of children.

I may be wrong, but my only theory about why this is so rampant in the Catholic church, is because you take a vow of “celibacy” when you become a priest, which means no ass. EVER.

No healthy man, gay or straight is EVER signing up for an entire LIFE on no sex. So here come the fuckin sickos. The guys that like kids.

Maybe it’s time for the Catholic church to lift this vow on their priests.

Because as it stands now, for me, I find the Catholic church as an entity, nothing more than an institution that harbors and aides and abets men that are ruining the entire lives of the human beings they are supposed to be helping and protecting.

It truly is the darkest institution I know of.

and in the same breath, the PRICIPLES that the church teaches, what my mother follows, allows her to allow ME my opinion and love me anyway.

And I love what a great example you are of your religion mom.
