Why I Vote, ALWAYS

I vote because I run my mouth.

I have an opinion about everything. Oil spills, taxes, immigration, spending, abortion, capital punishment, and on and on and on.

And when you don’t vote, you seemingly are that asshole dad in the stands screaming and yelling about what’s wrong, until the coach looks back and says, “you think you can do any better?”

It’s crazy to see HOW INVOLVED in the voting process people were in 2008 for the general election, and yet, in these “smaller” elections, you hit the voting station, and it’s you, and 26 bored senior citizens with nothing to do, because NO ONE shows up.

There are real measures on this ballot in California today that have to do with wasting more money (my opinion) by giving it to a broken school system, as the LAUSD wants to impose a property tax levy.

Well, Los Angeles Unified School District, you can suck my dick.

And you’ll actually be HEARING me, when I vote against it later today.

Go vote.

Or shut up.

Mr. Powers it is Sunday morning, are you attending Mass this AM as your mother would like you to? No, of course not, you know better than all the rest. So instead you direct all your energies in pontificating to the rest of us on the necessity of voting in EVERY election under the sun. Mr. Powers you still do not know why you vote...mom and dad voted, so you followed their example, but when it comes to more important things such as attending Mass you did not follow your dear mum to Mass. Mr. Powers the Powers that be want you to vote, so you do, see Mr. Powers you really are a skinny bitch well trained and obedient when it comes to voting, simply because voting is an empty act, devoid of any good, it is short and sweet, done in a matter of minutes, whereas attending Mass, going to confession, spending hours, days, weeks, months & years in prayer to the Blessed Mother in front of the Blessed Sacrament(with no apparent help from the Blessed Trinity) while everyone else around you is out clubbing, is far more difficult and a greater work than the cheesy act of casting a ballot. I will drive 1 hour to Latin Mass this AM just as I did for the last 12 years or so, what will you do this AM Mr. Vote or Shut Up?
