The third part of the secret revealed at the Cova da Iria-Fatima, on 13 July 1917.

I write in obedience to you, my God, who command me to do so through his Excellency the Bishop of Leiria and through your Most Holy Mother and mine.

After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendour that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: ‘Penance, Penance, Penance!'. And we saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it' a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father'. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.

"Plot against the Pope – he will die within 12 months". Headlines read in the Italian newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano. The source un-named written in German. The un-named German source claims to have overhead Cardinal Romeo stating that he had a vision of the murder of Pope Benedict XVI:

"During his talks in China, Cardinal Romeo predicted the death of Benedict XVI within 12 months. His remarks were expressed with such certainty and resolution that the people he was speaking to thought, with a sense of alarm, that an attack on the Pope's life was being planned,"

The newspaper published the "prophecy" of the death of Pope Benedict XVI of course Cardinal Romeo said that the reported prophecy of the Pope's impending demise attributed to him is "absolutely without basis." The Cardinal said that "It is so outside of reality that it should not be given any consideration".

It's one of those "I overheard something the other day...." pieces of gossip that is given the title of  'prophecy' to help move things along. Kinda of like Fr. Paul Kramer's famous "I overheard a German Priest/Mystic prophesied that World War III is to start in 2008" which of course turned out to be a false prophecy. But Fr. Paul Kramer still benefited from spreading that tale around--didn't he?? 

Who is the German source? MI5? CIA? Fr. Paul Kramer? Al Queda? etc... how bout the Russians? Whoever it is does not understand Our Lady of Fatima and Her words to Sr. Lucy. Certain events are to take place well before any possible real threat to the Holy Father. One of these events is political in nature and it certainly looks like that event is far off - not to mention the fact that by all appearance Pope Benedict XVI is not the Bishop dressed in White that Sr. Lucy had the vision of but some other Pope that succeeds Pope Benedict XVI. Is it the next Pope? Maybe the one after that? Time will tell. But what is telling is that the German author of the 'prophecy' is not too versed in the Message of Our Lady of Fatima - so it stands to reason that the German source is not a Roman Catholic or is a very weak Catholic or is a Roman Catholic who has an axe to grind with God for not bringing about the much talked about chastisement that not a few Traditional Roman Catholics love to see take place - you see some want to speed things up a bit to satisfy their blood lust and to usher in their 'God given reign'. Apocalyptic stuff. I hope there is a complete investigation into finding out the identity of author of this purported 'prophecy'.
