How Much Did CNN Pay Al Qaeda Terrorists For Ambassador Christopher Stevens' Journal?

The Bloodied Hand Print Of J. Christopher Stevens

Found? Found, as in paying $50,000 to al Qaeda terrorists for the seven page journal?

Here is the current CNN version:
(CNN) -- Three days after he was killed, CNN found a journal belonging to late U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens. The journal was found on the floor of the largely unsecured consulate compound where he was fatally wounded.

CNN notified Stevens' family about the journal within hours after it was discovered and at the family's request provided it to them via a third party.

The journal consists of just seven pages of handwriting in a hard-bound book.
Seven pages - not much of a journal. J. Christopher Stevens was Ambassador to Libya for only five short months or about 1 page a month. He was murdered by al Qaeda terrorists. He left a journal behind, along with other papers & reports etc. all to be found by al Qaeda terrorists on the night of September 11th.  CNN claims that they found the journal on September 14th. No name of the CNN reporter is given who found the journal. CNN does not say much other than that the Journal was "found."

Is this believable? Or is CNN lying again by not giving us all the details on how CNN came across the journal. Anderson Cooper tells us that:
'We came upon the journal through our reporting and notified the family. At their request, we returned that journal to them. We reported what we found newsworthy in the ambassador's writings. A reporter followed up on what we found newsworthy, as I said, in the ambassador's writings,'
'We came upon the journal through our reporting'? What does CNN mean by "our reporting" Just what entails "our reporting"? Does "our reporting" include buying information from al Qaeda terrorists? How many al Qaeda contacts are listed on the CNN Rolodex?

CNN was not very straight forward when telling the world that "a source familiar with Ambassador Stevens' thinking said that the ambassador thought he was on Al Qaeda hit list" That source turned out to be Stevens himself.

If CNN was not straight forward then, CNN is not very straight forward now.

CNN needs to tell the world how they "found" the journal, and how much they paid for it and who they paid?
