Midair BOMB THREAT horror - United Airlines diversion as WARNING NOTE found in toilet

United Airlines flight UA-971 was diverted to Shannon Airport in the west of Ireland after the message was discovered en route to Chicago from Rome. The crew are believed to have discovered a bomb warning written in the toilet, necessitating a diversion to Shannon, where it landed at 1.42pm. Fire brigade units and police met the Beoing 767 as it landed. Passengers disembarked 40 minute later. Passengers are now being investigated with police taking writing samples from all those on board. Luggage in the cabin and hold are also being analysed. The 207 passengers and 11 crew members disembarked the Boeing Co 767-330 at Shannon Airport at 2:15 pm accordingt to a spokesman for the Irish police. The passengers of flight UA971 were in the process of being searched, he said in an emailed statement. He gave no further details about the nature of the threat. A spokesman for United Airlines said: “United flight UA971 en route to Chicago from Rome, diverted to Shannon following a potential security concern. “Additional security screenings will be performed on all customers and baggage, and we will work to get customers on their way to Chicago as quickly as possible.” Source
