The space tourism era has dawned as wealthy travelers prepare for voyages aboard crafts made by rival billionaires Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson, with the first civilians expected to take flight as soon as September. Several hundred people have already booked their tickets and begun training to embark on spectacular voyages where they will experience a few minutes, or perhaps days, in the weightlessness of space. The mainly wealthy first-time space travelers are getting ready to take part in one of several private missions which are preparing to launch in the near future.Branson's Virgin Galactic and Bezos' Blue Origin are both building spacecraft capable of sending private clients on suborbital flights to the edge of space lasting several minutes. Meanwhile, Musk's SpaceX is planning to send the first civilian travelers on orbital flights as soon as September. The major development for space travel comes 60 years after Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first person to travel into space. Source
