The message of Our Lady of La Salette took place 19 Sept. 1846.

Mélanie wrote this down in 1879 - the following list of Rain of Animals starts in 1861 

If you notice the majority of these sightings took place within the last 20 years. I believe that the words of Our Lady are for our age and that is why the majority of these Raining Animals are recent. Also notice that the majority of Raining Animals are fish and other sea creatures. I do believe that we will witness fearful showers of Cattle, Deer, Pigs, Goats, Dogs, Cats, Chickens and why not - Elephants, Lions, Tigers and Bears.....because I can't think of anything more fearful than to see Elephants falling from the sky in New York City......

In behalf of my Superior and myself, I have often asked myself where we could go for refuge, had we the means for the journey and for our subsistence, on condition that no person were to know it? But I renounce these useless thoughts. We are very guilty!
