Explosion heard and thick plumes of black smoke spotted over UK beauty spot 

AN EXPLOSION was heard and thick plumes of black smoke were spotted at a UK beauty spot.The incident took place near the quarry at Isle of Wight lane in Dunstable. Eyewitness Graham Cunstance said the incident "initially looked like a field fire but then an explosion was heard".He said that at least three fire crews are in attendance. Another resident who lives in the area, Penny, said: "Live the other side of the quarry and could hear the explosion as we ate tea in the garden." Source
