Pope mourns those killed in Senegal road accident
Pope Francis has joined in mourning the 40 people killed and dozens injured in a tragic bus crash in central Senegal. In a telegram sent on the Pope’s behalf by Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, to the President of Senegal, Macky Sall, the Holy Father expressed his closeness and concern for the, at least, 78 people injured, some of them seriously, when damaged buses rammed into each other earlier this week. The Pope prayed that God welcome the deceased into His peace and light, and asked Him to bring comfort and hope to all those affected by the tragedy. The collision happened in Gnivy village, in the Kaffrine region, at 3:30 a.m. on 8 Jan. Following the event, Senegal’s president declared three days of mourning starting Monday, and said he would hold an inter-ministerial council to discuss road safety measures. Public prosecutor, Cheikh Dieng, said the crash happened on a national road when a public bus punctured a tire and veered across the road, colliding with another bus coming from the opposite direction. According to AP, traffic crashes happen regularly in Senegal due to poor roads, bad cars and, according to locals, lack of drivers adhering to the rules. Source

At least 68 killed in Nepal’s worst airplane crash in 30 years

Kathmandu, Nepal CNN — At least 68 people were killed Sunday when an aircraft went down near the city of Pokhara in central Nepal, a government official said, the country’s deadliest plane crash in more than 30 years. Seventy-two people – four crew members and 68 passengers – were on board the ATR 72 plane operated by Nepal’s Yeti Airlines when it crashed, Yeti Airlines spokesman Sudarshan Bartaula said. Thirty-seven were men, 25 were women, three were children and three were infants, Nepal’s civil aviation authority reported. Search efforts were called off after dark, Army spokesman Krishna Prasad Bhandari said, and will resume Monday morning. Hundreds of first responders had been still working to locate the remaining four individuals before then, Bhandari said. Among the dead is at least one infant, according to the Nepal’s civil aviation authority. Sunday’s incident was the third-deadliest crash in the Himalayan nation’s history, according to data from the Aviation Safety Network. The only incidents in which more people were killed took place in July and September 1992. Those crashes involved aircraft run by Thai Airways and Pakistan International airlines and left 113 and 167 people dead, respectively. The civil aviation authority said that 53 of the passengers and all four crew members were Nepali. Fifteen foreign nationals were on the plane as well: five were Indian, four were Russian and two were Korean. The rest were individual citizens of Australia, Argentina, France and Ireland. The aircraft had been flying from the capital of Kathmandu to Pokhara, the country’s second-most populous city and a gateway to the Himalayas, the country’s state media The Rising Nepal reported. Pokahara is located some 129 kilometers (80 miles) west of Kathmandu. The plane was last in contact with Pokhara airport at about 10:50 a.m. local time, about 18 minutes after takeoff. It then went down in the nearby Seti River Gorge. First responders from the Nepal Army and various police departments have been deployed to the crash site and are carrying out a rescue operation, the civil aviation authorities said in a statement. Source

Demon Pazuzu
“In the year 1864, Lucifer together with a large number of demons will be unloosed from hell; they will put an end to faith little by little, even in those dedicated to God. They will blind them in such a way, that, unless they are blessed with a special grace, these people will take on the spirit of these angels of hell; several religious institutions will lose all faith and will lose many souls. Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)

Several will abandon the faith, and a great number of priests and members of religious orders will break away from the true religion; among these people there will even be bishops. Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)
