REPORT - The New York Times: Ismail Haniyeh was killed by an explosive device that was secretly smuggled into the guest house in Tehran where he was staying. • The bomb was hidden about two months ago in the guest house that is managed and protected by the Revolutionary Guard Corps and is part of a large complex, in a prestigious neighborhood in northern Tehran. • The device was activated remotely after it was confirmed that Haniyeh was in his guest house room. A bodyguard was also killed in the explosion • The explosion shook the building, shattered several windows and caused the partial collapse of an exterior wall. Source
