Waterloo Station incident: Jubilee Line passengers' terror at 'three loud bangs'
Terrified commuters have described "running for their lives" after hearing "three loud bangs" at a London Tube station this evening. Passengers reportedly fled Waterloo station "screaming" while one person said she saw people "crying and collapsing" following the scare which sounded like "gunshots" or "fireworks." Transport for London confirmed they were investigating a "customer incident" while police said they had "found no threat to the public". Services on the entire Jubilee line were suspended for a brief time but have now resumed "with delays". One woman said she saw flashes of orange followed by "three loud bangs from the middle of the platform". She added: "Everyone ran out of the station screaming, saw people crying and collapsed from sprinting up the escalators. Whole station now closed." Another said: "Wife and I just heard loud bangs (maybe gunshots) and rushed out. Police everywhere." Source
